Nellie M. Adams, 87, died June 14, 1996 at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove with Rev. Kenneth Greene officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at William Funeral Home, Eagle Grove.

Survivors include sons, Ronald W., Webster City; Michael D., East Moline, Illinois; daughter, Betty Wilde, Eagle Grove; stepson, Milton (Mick) Adams, Oakland, Minnesota; stepdaughter, Lodean Albers, Minneapolis, Minnesota; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Everett (Chuck) Thurmond, Williams; sisters, Ada Banks, Eagle Grove; Ethel Kunkle, Eagle Grove; and Verdelle Corell, Victorville, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and three sisters.

Nellie Mae Thurmond was born January 25, 1909, in Williams. She received her education in Williams. She married O.T. (Mike) Adams March 5, 1936, in Dakota City. They made their home in Webster City and moved to Eagle Grove in 1941. Mike died in 1986.

Nellie was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was active in R.S.V. of Eagle Grove Senior Citizens.
