Funeral services for Mary Dean Landsberry will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at the Wetumka Indian Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Wetumka Indian Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was born June 11, 1929, in Weleetka to Lewis Marshall and Mandy (Herrod) Marshall. She passed away Saturday, May 19, at her home in Wetumka at the age of 82.
Mary, a resident of Wetumka, had also resided in the Okemah and Henryetta area. She was a graduate of Chilloco Indian School and had been a member of the Wetumka Indian Baptist Church since the early 40s. Mary worked at the Blue Bell Sewing Plant in Okemah and Seminole for 26 years until retirement. She loved her family dearly and her grandchildren were her life. Her love of cooking showed in everything she ever took to a family gathering.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Mandy Marshall; one son, Greg; five sisters; and five brothers.
She is survived by her son, Tom Kennedy and wife, Brenda, of Tecumseh; one sister, Christine Harjo of Salem; two grandchildren, Todd Kennedy and wife, Regene, of Tecumseh and Cory Anglin and wife, Sheila, of Shawnee; four great-grandchildren, Blake and Baylee Kennedy and Ashley and Hailey Anglin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Travis Scott, James Tiger, Drew Johnson, Steve Wagner, Famous Marshall and David McGirt.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, and officiated by Rev. Woodrow Fields and Rev. Mitchell Taylor.
