Abedon "Abby", a lifelong resident of Española, passed away at the family home. He was survived by his wife Pablita "GuGu"; sons Abedon Jr. and Pablo; daughter Gabriela, all of the Fairview home; brothers Tony Herrera of Aztec, Leroy Lujan of Los Angeles, California; Melvin and Randy Lujan of San Pedro; sisters: Rosina Medina of Alcalde, Carlota Lujan , Antonia Lujan of Montrose, Colorado; Sandra Lujan of El Llano, Inez, Cathy, and Florence of San Pedro; his mother Ricarda Gallegos of Montrose; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services were on Dec 13th in Sacred Heart Church in Española. Burial was in the San Jose Cemetery in Hernandez. Pallbearers: Fabian Trujillo, Jeffery Medina, Joseph Medina, Ramon Martinez, Jerry Lujan, and Felix Archuleta. Honorary pallbearers: Ramon Archuleta, Leroy Dixon, Paul Valdez, Lloyd Maestas, Frank Archuleta, David "Rocky" Vigil, Richard Valdez, Howard Dixon, and Isidor Dixon.
