Julia Belle Bell, 85, of Taylorville, died at 2:18 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, 2000 in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 21, 1915 in Morrisonville, the daughter of Elmer and Nellie Snodgrass Eson. She married Claude Bell June 23, 1934 in Taylorville and he preceded her in death in September of 1959. Mrs. Bell was a homemaker.

Surviving are two sons, Damon G. Bell and wife, Janet E. of Stonington and Robert E. Bell and wife, Mary of Taylorville; one daughter, Donna Anselm and husband, George, Taylorville and brother, LaVerne Eson and wife Madeline, Taylorville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2000 in the Connolly-McClure Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. Phillip Icenogle will officiate and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14 in the funeral home.
