FUNERAL SERVICES SET - MRS. FRANCES WEDLAKE

Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Wedlake, 84, native of New Almaden and descendant of Jose Agustin Narvaez, grantee of San Juan Bautista, were held today.

Mrs. Wedlake died Sunday in a Los Gatos rest home after a long illness. She had previously lived with a daughter, Mrs. Jane W. Williams, at 36 S. Morrison Ave.

Mrs. Wedlake had lived all her life in this area. She was the daughter of the late Avelino Padilla and Louisa Cinone Padilla, both of whom were natives of California.

Besides Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Wedlake leaves two other daughters and a son, Mrs. Marie Lara of San Jose, Mr. William T. Wedlake of Cupertino and Mrs. Peggy Biebel of Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Porta of Palo Alto and 14 grandchildren.

Services were in Lima-Salmon-Erickson Memorial Chapel, followed by burial at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Dear sister of Mrs. Jessie Porta of Palo Alto and the late Romana Hayes and Ray Padilla. Devoted grandmother of 14 grandchildren. A native of New Almaden, Calif. Age 84.

Friends are invited to attend funeral services Wednesday, Feb, 15, 1961 at 2 p.m. from the Lima, Salmon, Erickson Memorial Chapel, 710 Willow St. at Delmas Ave.
