Funeral services for Avelino Padilla were held yesterday from the late home at 961 Jackson, thence to St. Patrick's church were the Rev. Father Richard Collins celebrated a requiem mass for the repose of his soul. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery. Fred Porta, Fred Montoya, M. Ferrare, W Moss, Narciso Porta and E. Clava serving as pallbearers.
The deceased was a native of this state, aged 61 years, and had resided here for a long period of time. He leaves to mourn his loss his widow, Mrs. Natividad Padilla, one son Ray Padilla, and three daughters, Mrs. Frances Wedlake, Mrs. Ramona Dominguez, and Mrs. Fred Porta, and one sister, Mrs. Romana Bernal.

Avelino was said to have married three times. Avelino's first wife died twelve years before he did. His second wife is unknown and so is the maiden name of his third wife, who is referred to both as "Mary" and "Natividad" in his obituaries.
