Married: 31 DEC 1837 in Burlington, Des Moines, IA to Charles H. Withington. The Withington Homestead is "located on the old Santa Fe Trail and is one of the few well known points on the old historic path" according to a June 4, 1891 Northern Lyon County Journal article.

(The remains of Mrs. Caroline Sheetz, who died some nine years ago were removed from the Withington farm by C.H. Sharp on Tuesday and placed by the side of her husband and daughter in Allen cemetery.)

Mrs. Sheetz was George Edward Withington's mother-in-law. Dorinda Withington was buried on Withington Homestead Farm, Allen, Kansas. There is a tombstone there for her.
