The Progress, Clearfield, PA, Obituary of Edith H. Hollis (Monday, April 9, 1984, page 22), Edith H. Hollis of Philipsburg R. D. 3 died yesterday April 8, at Clearfield Hospital. The daughter of Jacob and Bessie Haverlock, she was born in Osceola Mills. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Women's Civic Club and the Columbia Fire Co. Auxilary, all of Osceola Mills, and the Philipsburg State General Hospital Auxillary. She also served 18 years as the hospital's snack bar manager. Surviving are her husband, Martin J. Hollis Sr., and the following children: Mrs. Robert (Ceclia) Williams, Clearfield; Mrs. Martin (Mary) Liinangi, Warren, Mich; Francis H., Philipsburg R.D., and Martin J. Jr., Philipsburg. Also surving are one sister, Helen Haverlock of Osceola Mills. 14 grandchilren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents, three brothers, and four sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said tomorrow at 10 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Joseph K Bobal officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends will be recieved today from 7 to 9 pm at the Heath Funeral Home, Osceola mills. The family suggests donations be made to the Osceola Mills Public Library.
