1892 Christine Mattice 1966
Mrs. Christine M. Mattice was born Jan. 19, 1892, at Toronto, S.D., the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. T.K. Solensten.
She attended grammar school in Toronto, and moved to Madelia, Minn., where she completed High School and Mankato State Teachers College.
She married Albert J. Mattice, July 24, 1912, at Madelia. They resided at Minneapolis, Mankato, Faribault and Austin, Minnesota.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the WSCS. She was active in church work wherever she lived. Her many acts of kindness will never be forgotten. She was a teacher at Lincoln school.
She died July 26, at Francis Hospital, Shakopee, after a lingering illness.
Survivors are her husband, Alfred, Savage, Minn.; one son, Donald, Austin; three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Alberta) Hecker, Savage, Mrs. Theodore (Laura) Greenblatt, Los Angeles, Mrs. Howard (Helen) Tallman, Austin; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Richard; her parents; two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services were held privately Aug. 1, at Gill Mortuary, Minneapolis. Rev. Robert Sorenson officiating. Interment
was at Acacia Park, Mendota, Minn.
