Mrs. Tallman, 86, of Austin, died Saturday (June 18, 2005) at her home.
Helen Mattice was born May 13, 1919, in Minneapolis, where she grew up. Her family moved to Mankato, where she graduated from high school. She married Howard Tallman on May 22, 1939, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa, and they lived most of their married life in Austin.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ellen Mueske of Austin and Carol (David) Naatz of Rochester; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Donald (Leona) Mattice of Austin. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, one son, one brother and two sisters.
Helen's parents are Albert Joseph Mattice and Christine Marie (Solensten) Mattice.
