SOUTHERN ILLINOIS -- Beth M. Brown, 78, of Greeley, Colo., died June 14, 1996, in North Colorado Medical Center.
Memorial services were Monday, Jun 17, 1996, in Family of Christ Presbyterian Church in Greeley. Interment of cremains will be at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the church or the charity of the donor's choice.
Mrs. McKinley attended public schools in Marissa, where she graduated from Monmouth College in Monmouth, with a degree in chemistry. After graduation from college, she taught school for a time in Jordans Grove School. She moved to Greeley from Illinois about 10 years ago.
Ever since her childhood, she had been an active member of the Presbyterian church. She has served in various church offices, has been an elder and has been active in Presbyterian Church Women's organizations.
She was a member of Platte and Prairie Audubon Society, the Centennial State Chapter of the National Society of the DAR, Friends of the UNC Libraries, Friends of the Greeley Museum, and the Family of Christ Presbyterian Church.
She was born Jan. 28, 1918, in Tilden, Ill., to Samuel and Cora Edmiston) McKinley.
She married Loren brown on Aug. 17, 1940, at Tilden. He died April 22, 1983.
Survivors include on daughter, Ann E Hurst of Fort Collins, Colo.; one son, McKinley A. Brown of Thompsonville; three nephews; six nieces; and one granddaughter, Erin Louise Hurst of Fort Collins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
