Mc Kinley -- Walter R. McKinley, 82, 636 Pine St., Loves Park, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday, aug. 31, 1987, in his residence after a short illness. Born Oct 7, 1904, in Randolph County, son of Samuel and Cora Edminsion McKinley. Lived 31 years in Rockford, coming from Golden. Married the former Marie Broberg in Cambridge, March 4, 1934. Employed as principal by Harlem School District several years, first principal of Franklin Junior High School. Member Bethany Presbyterian Church and charter member Viking Club of Augustana College. Graduated from Agustana College with bachelor's degree and earned master's degree from University of Colorado. Survivors include two sons, William, Jacksonville, and Robert, Sterling; four grandchildren; sister, Beth Brown, Greeley, Colo; and brother, Gilbert, Charleston.
Services at 1:30 p.m. Thusday, Sept. 3, in DELEHANTY FUNERAL HOME LTD., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with the Rev. Peder Carlson, pastor of Bethany Presbyterian Church, officiating.
