Lloyd Bashore, 92, of Myerstown, died Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
He was the husband of (LIVING) Bashore, to whom he was married 70 years on April 12.
Born in Bethel Township, Pa., on Nov. 12, 1919, he was the son of the late Elmer and Emma (Meyer) Bashore.
A 1937 graduate of Bethel High School, he was employed by George M. Anthony and Sons, Strausstown, for 26 years and later worked at Sterling Drug, Myerstown, for 16 years, retiring in 1984.
He was a member of Myerstown UCC and enjoyed gardening, antiquing, making latch hook rugs, getting together with friends at Hardee's, playing cards, and spending time with his great- grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, a sister-in-law, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sisters Mary Crouse, Mabel Snyder and Emma Bennett; and brothers Norman, Miles, Raymond, Elmer, Paul, Herbert and Harvey Bashore. Interment in Strausstown Cemetery.
