Emma M. (Bashore) Bennett, 90, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Stone Ridge-Poplar Run, Myerstown. She was the wife of the late Rev. Conway E. Bennett with whom she shared 68 years of marriage. Born in Bethel, she was a daughter to the late Elmer and Emma (Meyer) Bashore. She was a member of Little Swatara Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking, and crocheting. She also enjoyed traveling in her later years. She is survived by a daughter, Joan Caulfeild-James, wife of Rob of Willow Street; a daughter-in-law, Carol, wife of Michael Peace of Bethel; a brother, Lloyd Bashore of Myerstown; three granddaughters, Cheryl, wife of William Straw, Christie Bennett-Zellers, wife of Kyle, and Hayley Caulfeild-James; and four great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jacob Straw, and Sydney and Sophia Zellers. She was predeceased by eight brothers and two sisters. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, Bethel, with her pastor, the Rev. Robert W. Krouse, officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Little Swatara Church Cemetery. Hill Funeral Home, Rehrersburg, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, P.O.
