THE OLD DOMINION
Zachariah was born the son of Thomas Warren [1735] and Jane Browne in Spotsylvania County Virginia.

Zachariah purchased land adjacent to Edward Richards in Franklin County Virginia [about 6 miles south east of Rocky Mount] in the later 1700s. The James Stewart family, along with the Elijah Warren family [their land bordered Richards' land], and the John Harger and Hodges families; all lived in close proximity along Chestnut Creek in Franklin County. They were apparently friends, and gave their children in marriage to each other.

MARRAGE
Zachariah married Agnes White c.1782 in Virginia.
Their children:
1. Sarah Ann "Sally" Warren [1783] VA +Edmund Hendley Richards Sr.
2. Agnes Warren [1788] +John Stewart
3. Mary "Polly" Warren [1791] +John Hodges

TO TENNESSEE
There was an exodus from Franklin County of the Stewart, Richards, Warren, England, Jones, and Maddox families. Most left in the 1810-1814 time period, though others sooner and some later. They entered land in Tennessee, some in Roane County, some Morgan County, and many in Robertson County.

ILLINOIS
Zachariah and Agnes eventually came into Macoupin County Illinois where they lived out their years near relatives and friends.

A LOST CEMETERY
I do not have verification of where Zachariah is buried. On the strength of personal relationship, I have placed them in the Richards Family cemetery [since plowed under in the post-1850 time period] until and if I find out different.
