"Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours and their works do follow them. The many virtues of the deceased will long be cherished in the affectionate recollections of a devoted family, and numerous circle of friends." This stone is placed over her grave by her bereaved husband as a tribute of his love and affection.

Died in this Village, on the 18th instant, Mrs Sarah M Lipscomb, consort of Capt John Lipscomb, aged 40 years.
A few days before her decease, Mrs L was in the vigor of health, and had the brightest anticipation of the future. Mrs L was for many years a most estimable member of the Baptist Church. She has left an affectionate husband, an aged mother and a number of small children.
