Clarence Lee Hylton, 87, of 1117 Brentwood Drive, Collinsville, died Monday, May 14, 2012, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
He was born in Patrick County on April 14, 1925, to Jasper Roy and Sara Lou Hopkins Hylton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil Hylton and Herbert Hylton; and a sister, Etholine Poole.
He served in the Army during World War II and retired from Courtald's as a maintenance supervisor with more than 30 years of service.
Hylton was a member of the Collinsville Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Ora Pilson Hylton of the home; a daughter, Terri Lee Richardson of Fieldale; two brothers, William Hylton of Fieldale and James Hylton of Stuart; two sisters, Audrey Roberts and Ola Huffman, both of Fieldale; and two grandsons.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Roy McVey officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park with military honors.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
