Ora Mae Pilson Hylton, 82, of Collinsville, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at Hospice Home in Dobson, N.C.
She was born in Carroll County, Md., on July 19, 1930, to George Abram and Mary Jane Turner Pilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lee Hylton, in May; six brothers, Joseph Pilson, Levi Pilson, William PIlson, Kyle Pilson, Paul Pilson and Samuel Birch Pilson; and two sisters, Mary Ruth Duvall and Bertha Lou Woehlke.
She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and Collinsville Church of the Brethren. She had retired from clerical work with Fieldcrest Mills. She also had earned her CNA degree through Patrick Henry Community College. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Confederacy; Patrick Henry Allied Families; National Society of U.S. Daughters of 1812; and National Society of the Dames of the Court of Honor.
Surviving are a daughter, Terri Richardson of Fieldale; three sisters, Dove Cresswell and Myrtle Mobley, both of Maryland, and Vera Turner of Patrick Springs; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Roy McVey officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
