Mrs. Fred Aue
Last rites for Mrs. Fred Aue, who passed away on Saturday, Feb, 1st., at her home in Sioux Center, where held Thursday afternoon, Feb. 6, at the First Reformed Church, with Rev. Dykstra officiating. Interment was in the local cemetery. She was 48 years of age, wife of F. C. Aue, well known Sioux Center banker.
Gertrude Van 't Kerkhoff was born Sept. 28, 1887 at Orange City and was educated in the public schools of Orange City. She was married on August 18, 1912 to F.C. Aue, and the couple made their home in Sioux Center after that time.
She was robust in health during childhood and young womanhood but fors ome years past suffered many physical difficulties, for which she has had the ablest medical and surgical help. Complications developed in recent months, bringing her earthly life to its close. Her life was one of patience and cheer under discouraging circumstances, an example of courage inspiring to her family and devoted friends.
She is survived by her husband; her father Henry Van 't Kerkhoff, residing in the Netherlands; a brother, Rev. Harry Van 't Kerkhoff of Byron Center, Mich.; and a sister, Mrs. Ben Muilenburg, of Hospers.
