James A. Jim Brown, age 94, of West Bridgewater, died Friday, May 11, 2012, at Life Care of West Bridgewater after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of the late D. Rita (Leaman) Brown for 64 years. Survivors include his loving children, James T. Brown of Billerica, Thomas P. Brown of Quincy, Regina A. Hirtle of East Bridgewater, Robert J. Brown of Avon, Joseph F. Brown of West Bridgewater and Dorothy M. Bilotis of Rockland; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Joseph Brown of North Reading, Cecelia Racicot of Georgia and the late Anna Butler. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. Donations in his memory may be made to the Missionaries of the Poor, P.O. Box 29893, Atlanta, GA 30359. Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Monday 4-8 p.m. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Tuesday at 8 a.m. for a funeral Mass in St. Ann Church, West Bridgewater, at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
