Asa was the son of George Robert Frease and Lydia Jane Getrost and was born either 10 October 1875 or 187depending on the record you read. Asa worked as a Conductor
for the Chicago, Milwaukee & Puget Sound Railway.
For a time he moved to Powell Co., Montana and worked as a guard in the state prison before moving back to Miles
City.
He never married.

Asa's, Dad first wife was Lydia Jane Getrost and they were married January 8, 1872 in Defiance Co., Ohio. But within the year they relocated to Osage Twp., Labette Co., Kansas, where he spent his life farming. George and Lydia had three children.
After Lydia died he married his second wife, Sophia Berst about 1880. They had three children.
