He was born Nov. 21, 1935 in Salt Lake City to Darrel and Margaret Peck. He married Diann Forsyth May 29, 1956 in Salt Lake City.
Jerry was owner and manager of two major transportation companies, Vancouver-Portland Bus Company, and General Manager of Vancouver Transit System. He redefined his life when he graduated from the University of Utah with a Doctorate Degree in Marriage, Family Counseling and Sports Psychology. One of his many passions was salmon fishing with his family on the Washington Coast. He loved horses, hunting, and being in the outdoors. In 1993 Jerry and Diann moved to Duchesne, where they developed the "Floating Feather Ranch."
Jerry and Diann served an LDS Public Relations mission in Italy, where they were Ambassadors for the Church during the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics. Shortly after their return he was called to serve as the Bridgeland Ward Bishop.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Diann; three sons and a daughter, Darrell (Wendy) Peck, San Diego; David Peck, Salt Lake City; Daniel Peck, Vancouver, Wash.; and Darci (Rick) Critser, of Wilmington, N.C.; 16 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren; one brother, Dale Peck of Las Vegas, Nev., and a sister, Mardell Little, of Toppenish, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Ronald and Larry.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 11, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Bridgeland LDS Church, 14000 W. 9500 South, Bridgeland, Utah. Friends may visit Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Friday morning from 9-9:45 a.m.
Burial at 3 p.m., Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 South, Sandy, Utah.
