TOPPENISH - Margaret passed away at her home in Toppenish, Wa. Monday morning, surrounded by a loving family and friends. She has gone on to join her parents, Otto and Buena Vista Habermehl, her brother Larry Habermehl, who was an MIA in WWII, her devoted husband, Darrell Peck, and two exceptional sons, Ronald and Larry Peck.
She is survived by two sons, Gerald Peck of Duchesne, Ut., and Dale Peck of Las Vegas, Nv., and a daughter, Mardell Little, who lived with and cared for her for 14 years. Other survivors include 16 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren.
Besides being an extraordinary mother, some of her other accomplishments include: President of the Compass Club in Spokane, Wa., President of the Relief Society, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Wenatchee, Wa.; President of the Women's Division of the Mount Adams Country Club, Toppenish, Wa.; and like many of the patriotic women of our country, contributed her many talents to the WWII war effort in her younger years.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Lincoln and North A Street, Toppenish, Wa. at 11 A.M. Thursday, January 17th, 2008. Viewing 10:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Interment will be at Terrace Heights Memorial Park in Yakima, Wa. immediately after the funeral service.
