Funeral services are being held this morning at 10:30 a.m. in St. Agnes Catholic Church, for Jessie Bauer, age 71, who died Sunday, April 2 in a Minot hospital. Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the Church. Father Joseph Adkins is officiating at the service, Miss Katie King is organist and music is being provided by the church choir.
Pallbearers are Roger Bauer, Paul Bauer, John Bauer, Steve Bauer, George Bauer and David Caroline. Interment will be in St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery with Daniel-Sorensen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Jessie Landis was born July 5, 1906, in Kenmare Township, Ward County. She was reared in the Kenmare area, and taught school there until her marriage. She married Wendel Bauer Feb. 16, 1931, in Kenmare. They farmed in Spencer and Kenmare Townships, both in Ward County, until retiring in 1963. Then they moved into Kenmare. Mr. Bauer died in 1971.
She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and the Altar Society, Eastside Birthday Club, Kenmare, and the Kenmare Garden Club.
Survivors include two sons, Robert and Alan, both of Kenmare; two daughters, Mrs. Wm. (Arlene) Zaremski of Great Falls, Mont., and Mrs. Francis (Jeannice) Caroline of San Antonio, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Schammel and Mrs. Orin (Maybelle) Ankenbauer of Kenmare; 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
