Elmer H. Boehnlein, 69, of 621 South Madison St., Chilton, passed away July 15, 1995 at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton.
He was born on Feb. 7, 1926 in Charlesburg, a son of the late Joseph and Anna Arenz Boehnlein.
He married Hildegard Achter on Sept. 7, 1955 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chilton. He farmed the Family Homestead in the town of Brothertown and worked for the Northland Turkey Farm in Chilton for 9 years. He also worked for the Friday Canning Company in Oakfield for 23 years.
He enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife, Hildegard; one son and daughter-in-law, Alan (Sue) Achter of Montreal; three daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria (William) Lammers of Appleton, Patricia Boehnlein of Chilton, and Judy (Steve) Goeser of Chilton; three grandchildren, Scott, Donald and Paul Lammers all of Appleton.
Survivors include, three sisters, Stella Nett of Belgium, Marcella Derfus of Neenah and Bernice Suttner of Chilton, and Bernice Suttner of Chilton; one brother-in-law, Louie Achter of Chilton.
He was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters and one brother-in-law.
Funeral services were held at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg. Father Fred Peters SDS officiated. Burial was in the St. Charles Parish Cemetery.
