Mary Achter, 85, of 311 Diane St., Chilton, passed away Sunday, April 23, 1989, at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton.
She was born March 27, 1904, in the town of Stockbridge, the daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Kauth) Wettstein. On Feb. 27, 1922, she married Henry Achter at St. Elizabeth’s Church, Kloten. She farmed with her husband in the town of Brothertown until their retirement in 1965. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Chilton.
Survivors include a daughter, Elmer (Hildegard) Boehnlein, Chilton; a son, Louis, Chilton; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild; and a sister, Jerome (Josephine) Schreiner, New Holstein.
A son, two sisters, and a brother preceded her in death.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Chilton. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
