OBITUARY:

Stafford - Ernest E. Curtis, 75, Stafford, died Monday morning at the Stafford District Hospital after a long illness. Born Nov. 24, 1892, in Rush County, he married Mary Marie Tedder Nov. 13, 1920, at Hutchinson. She died in 1965. A resident of Stafford 66 years, he was a retired cafe operator.

Member: American Legion; VFW.

Survivors: Daughters, Mrs. Ernestine Rogers, Topeka; Mrs. Betty Jo Houchen, Hven [sic]; Mrs. Susan Hock, Kendall; sons, James E., St. John; Jack, Stafford; Tom, Guymon, Okla; Donald, Empira [sic]; sisters, Miss Maude Curtis, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Waunita [sic] Soice, Stafford; brothers, J.A., St. John; H.B., Wichita; Robert, Everett, Wash.; 27 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Peacock-Milton Memorial Chapel, Stafford; Rev. H.J. Sterling. Burial: Stafford Cemetery.
