Martha was born to Martha Wiggins & William P. Daniel in Bedford County, Tennessee, South of Shelbyville, in an area known as "Rich Valley". This is in the 20th Civil District. Her family moved sometime between her birth in 1850 and 1860 to Henderson County, Tennessee and probably lived near Jack's Creek, Tennessee. Before 1870 Martha married Daniel B. Taylor, as they are found on the 1870 Lexington, Henderson County, TN census, Daniel Taylor, age 29 and Martha age 19 together without children. "They may have left Tennessee and went to Aurora, Lawrence County, Missouri as three of her older brothers took that same route on their way to Texas. Walter Wooten Daniel and William Martin Daniel were both at Aurora when the 1880 census was taken and Hearrel Wiggins Daniel lived in that area for about 20 years before going to Texas. Walter and his family left Jack's Creek in 1884." Source: James Daniel

1880 in Burnet County, TX, Martha is listed as widowed and HOH along with three daughters: Cory Lee Taylor, age 9, Martha Taylor, age 5 and Sarah G.Taylor, age 2.
Abt. 1882 Martha married George Washington Hart, by 1900 they are in Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory with three children, Mary E. Hart, dau. age 16, born Feb 1884; William J. Hart, son, born Sep 1888, age 11 both born in Texas and Franklin J. Hart, son age 9, born Apr 1891 in Indian Territory. Martha F. Hart, age 50 born Jun 1850 in TN, married at age 17, 8 children born and 6 living, parents born in TN. Apparently between 1900 & 1910 Martha and George divorced, as is shown on the 1910 census in Lynn, Kingfisher, Oklahoma, their son, William Hart is HOH, age 22, along with his brother Frank, age 19, both single, the only other one listed with them is their mother Martha Hart, age 60, divorced. As is stated in the obituary below she moved to California in September 1923 to live with her son.

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha F. Hart, who died late Saturday afternoon in the home of her son, Will Hart, 840 South Garden street, were held at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon from the chapel of Hadley & Locey. Intetment was made in the Visalia city cemetery.
Mrs. Hart, a native of Tennessee, was 74 years old. She came to the home of her son from the East in September, 1923.
She is survived by two sons, Will Hart and Frank Hart, both of Visalia; and four daughters, Miss Cora Hart and Mrs. Francis Riley, of Oklahoma; Mrs Sallie Dickson, of Texas and Mrs. Mary Ellis, of Hollywood.
