Services for Dwight Norvell Tuesday, April 25

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 1978 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for Dwight Norvell, 75, an electrician who resided in Camden. Mr. Norvell died at 1:25 p.m. Saturday, April 22 at Culbertson Hospital in Rushville.
He was born November 3, 1902 in Camden, a son of James and Rosa Hawkins Norvell. He attended Schuyler Co., Schools and the St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, IBEW local 51 of Springfield, Brown County Farm Bureau and a former member of the Brown County School Board. He was united in marriage with Clara Lucille Kunkel on August 25, 1928 in Mt. Sterling.
His parents, wife, three children and four brothers are deceased.
Surviving are the following children, Mrs. Morris Billingsley of Camden; Mrs. Kenneth Ackers of Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Donald Billingsley of Industry; James Norvell of Springfield; Daniel of Camden; Tony of Eden, North Carolina; Dwayne of Kirkland; David of St. Louis; Jerald of Beardstown; Mrs. Edward Hopkins of Sherman; mrs. Gary bent of Sherman and Charles of Macomb. Twenty-seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one half brother, Arthur Van Cleave of Peoria also survive.
Father Martin Mangan officiated at the services and burial was in the Mt. Sterling Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Mike Fretueg, Jeffery Ackers, Doug Billingsley, Gregory Ackers, Craig Norvell, and Regie Billingsley.
Northcutt Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
