Frank "Cap" Smith, age 91 years of Iberia, Missouri passed away Wednesday, April 16, 1975 in a San Antonio, Texas hospital. Mr. Smith was born June 3, 1883* near Iberia, Mo. in Miller County, the son of William and Lucy (Gardner) Smith. He was united in marriage December 16, 1906 to Sarah Eliza Boyd, who preceded him in death on May 20, 1969.

Mr. Smith lived all his life in the Iberia area until he moved to San Antonio, Texas in February of 1974 where he lived with his daughter due to poor health. HE had been a stone mason and was a member of the First Christian Church in Iberia.

Also preceding him in death were his parents, several brothers and sisters; 3 sons, Carl in infancy, Glen on April 15, 1970 and Conrad "Cap" on April 20, 1970.

Surviving are: 2 sons, Oliver Smith of Iberia, Mo., and James W. Smith of Hutchinson, Kansas; 1 daughter, Mrs. Idolia Karr of San Antonio, Texas; 25 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 1975 at the Stevinson Chapel in Iberia with Rev. Steve Shepherd officiating. Interment was in the Iberia Cemetery under the direction of the Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia, MO. Pallbearers were Bill Karr, Bill Smith, Ricky Smith, Max Smith, Tommy Karr and Jim Newton.
