SPRINGFIELD, MO. — Floyd Vernon Smith, died June 22, 2010. He was born Sept. 9 1924 in Trinity. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a 32nd degree Free Mason of McCook Lodge 135 in Nebraska. He is survived by three daughters, Starlee Miller of Weld County, Colo., Margaret Mullikin of Mechanicsville, Va. and Lola Smith of Orangeburg, S.C.; five sons, Michael Smith of Rogersville, Mo., Kenneth Smith and Randolph Smith of Lumber Bridge, N.C. and Mark Smith and Hershel Smith, both of Moorefield, Neb.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held Friday, June 25, at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Springfield, Mo.
