Mary Alice Glenney, 63, of Conrad, IA passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in Lincoln, NE with her family by her side. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Alice Church of God in rural Conrad. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 16, 2010 at the Johnston Funeral Home in Conrad. Interment will be at Conrad Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name.
Mary Alice was born on September 7, 1946 to Jack M. and Bernice (Dudley) Boswell in Marshalltown, IA. She graduated from Beaman-Conrad High School in Conrad. She was employed with the BCLUW elementary school in Conrad as a secretary , retiring in 2001. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook, making many family meals.
Mary Alice will be missed by three sons; Darin (Sherry) Glenney of White Hall, AR, Justin (Kandy) Glenney of Marshalltown, Brian (Kippen) Glenney of Marshalltown, eight grandchildren, her mother, Bernice Boswell of Conrad, a brother, Steve Boswell of Conrad, and three sisters, Bonnie (Clyde) Jorgensen of Iowa City, Ia, Betty Krier of Conrad, Peggy (Joseph) Kriegel of DesMoines, IA. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Boswell, her daughter, Denise Marie Glenney, and a sister, Darlene Edwards.
