Betty Lue Boswell Krier, 57, of Conrad died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at her home. Memorial services at Alice Church of God in rural Conrad.

Betty was born on May 2, 1956, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Bernice and Jack Boswell. She was educated in the Beaman-Conrad schools and attended Marshalltown Community College. She was employed at various places throughout the years, as a cook at the nursing home in Grundy Center and later at Caseys and the Mini-Mart in Conrad. She was a member of the Alice Church of God. Betty was devoted to her family and anyone in need and especially loved her cats.

She is survived by two children, Amy (Stephen) Wright of Ankeny, Iowa, and Paul Krier of Fort Dodge; two granddaughters, Zoe and Ava of Ankeny, Iowa; her mother, Bernice Dudley Boswell of Conrad; two sisters, Bonnie (Clyde) Jorgensen of Iowa City, Iowa, and Peggy (Joe) Kriegel of Des Moines, Iowa; a brother, Steve Boswell of Union, Iowa; and nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her son, Nathan Krier; her father, Jack Boswell; two sisters, Mary Alice Glenney and Darlene Edwards; and one niece, Denise.
