A son was born to Mrs. E. Lord on a Chicago & Northwestern passenger train at Wellington Tank.
Mrs. Lord was enroute from Niagara, Wis. to Grand Rapids, Minn. with her family. She is deaf & dumb. Conductor Carlin was in charge of the train, The parents will no doubt name the boy Wellington Carlin,
in honor of the place & conductor. It is hoped, however, that the lad will never develop into a tank.(Thursday, April 25, 1907, Iron Mountain Daily News, Dickinson, Michigan.)
