Geraldine "Gerry" Baumgartner Post, age 88, died peacefully on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Ingleside Nursing Home surrounded by her family.
Gerry was bor at the Sutter Homestead on November 20, 1923 to Leo and Theresa (Zeier) Sutter in the Township of Blue Mounds, WI with her nine siblings. She graduated from Mt Horeb High School and was a life member of St Ignatius Catholic Church in Mt Horeb. Gerry married Harold Baumgartner at St Ignatius Catholic Church on May 20, 1944. He preceded her in death on February 8, 1979. She married Jerome Post at St Ignatius Catholic Church on October 6, 1984. He preceded her in death on Apr. 1, 2004.
In addition to her first and second husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law, Margaret and Bart Baumgarter; son-in-law, Earl "Shorty" Ross and brothers and sisters, Odilo (Kathryn) Sutter, Agnes (Lester) Mekelburg, Sally (Jake) Ruppenthal, Loretta (Bob) DesMarais, Alberta (Harley) Braun, Lawrence (Barbara) Sutter, Clarence (Doris) Sutter, and Tessie Eaton; brother-in-law, William A. Scott and sister-in-law, Marjorie Tschanz.
