Evan was a native of Teneha, Texas and a long time resident of Silsbee.
He retired from Center Point Energy. Evan proudly served his country during WWII with the Army Air Corp traveling around the world before returning home. He was a deacon and actively involved in First Baptist Church. He also loved to fly and was a pilot and he had served as Fire Chief with the Liberty Fire Department. He was happiest spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Lemons; sons, Evan Rene' Lemons, Jr. and Norman Bruce Lemons and wife Belinda; daughter, Linda Marie Edwards and husband Dale; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Interment: Davis Cemetery, Beulah Springs, Texas
