Mary Buxton and her twin sister Anna Buxton were born in 1796 in Pennsylvania. They were the twin daughter of Jacob Buxton Jr and Mary Sparks Buxton. He siblings besides her twin are James Buxton, Sara Buxton, Darius Buxton, Aaron Buxton. Mary married John Dever, they had four children: David Dever, James Dever, Sarah Ann Dever, and Susanna Dever. John died in 1822 and she remarried. Her second husband is Robert McCrea, they had 3 children: William McCrea, Jane McCrea, and Janna McCrea. Her second husband, Robert died in 1841. She died on May 10, 1880, in West Middletown, Washington County, Pennsylvania, having lived a long life of 84 years.
