Herman Lee Edwards, age 86, of Muscle Shoals, died Thursday, May 3, 2012. Mr. Edwards was a native of Marion, Ala., but lived most of his life in Sheffield. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Sheffield and was preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Reeves, and parents, Granville and Sarah Edwards.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen Camadello Edwards; his sons, Dennis Edwards and wife, Mary, of Baton Rouge, La., David Edwards, of Muscle Shoals; his daughter, Sharon Austin and husband, Jerry, of Huntsville; grandchildren, Jeremy Austin, of Jonesboro, Ark., Brian Edwards, of Baton Rouge, Jennifer Adams, of Columbus, Miss., Jonathan Edwards, of Baton Rouge, Courtney Fisher, of Blytheville, Ark., and Klynt Edwards, of Buffalo, N.Y.; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. today at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel, with Jeremy Austin officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
