TUSCALOOSA~~~~~Mary Pauline Reeves, age 88, of Tuscaloosa, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center.

Private graveside services were held Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at Oakwood Cemetery in Sheffield, Ala.

Mrs. Reeves was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Reeves Sr.; parents, Granville A. and Sarah Lee Edwards; and son, Richard E. Reeves Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Mims (Carl), and son, Kenneth Reeves (Debbie), both of Tuscaloosa; and grandchildren, Jason Reeves (Abbie) and Carrie Fowler (Curt), both of Tuscaloosa, Hayley Dees (Chad) of Columbus, Miss., and Rachel Snider of Philadelphia, Pa.

Pauline, lovingly called "Polly," was a loving, caring, Christian lady who loved the Lord, her Church, and her family, and was strong in her convictions and beliefs. She was a strong lady who lived life to the fullest and always found good in everyone she met.

Honorary pallbearers are her church family at Central Church of Christ of Tuscaloosa and the caring staff of the ICU of DCH, especially Cassey Banks, Pam Howell, and Dr. Arti Pandey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Central Church of Christ of Tuscaloosa Building Fund, the Humane Society of West Alabama, or a charity of one's choice.
