David Phillip Pickering

David Phillip Pickering, 75, Greentown, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at St. Joseph's Hospital Kokomo, after a brief illness. He was born May 16, 1936, in Anderson.
David retired in 1999 from Guide Lamp after 26 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
David is survived by his wife of 27 years, Judy (Gunkel) Pickering; children, Chris (Stacie) Pickering and Mark (Annie) Pickering; stepson, Chris Harmon (companion Berta Graddy); siblings, James (Judy) Pickering and Sarah (Don) Cook; brother-in-law, Richard (Jean) Gunkel; grandchildren, Briana Pickering and David Pickering; step-grandchildren, Dakota Frye and Ashley Curtis; and fur babies, Asha, Dusty and Jello.
He was preceded in death by his step-grandaughter, Lacey Curtis; parents, Ralph and Hazel (Weaver) Pickering; and sister, Cecil Bass.
Visitation is 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, Anderson. Services are 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
