Zeiber married Zora Belle Geach August 1, 1900 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. They had one daughter - Ruth Eleanor Ranck. Zeiber was a former president of Crystal Tissue Paper Company in Middletown, OH.

MIDDLETOWN, May 10
Zeiber W. Ranck, 66, who started his career as an office boy and rose to the presidency of the Crystal Tissue Company here, died at Middletown Hospital at 3:05 AM today. He had entered the hospital January 29th and suffered a streptococcic infection of the blood stream. Ranck, who resided at 1000 S. Main Street, came here from Lima, Ohio, and became an office boy, serving the Crystal Tissue Company for more than 35 years, during which, in 1920, he succeeded D. E. Harlan as president. A number of trips to foreign lands had been made during his lifetime and he had been active as a member of the board of governors of the Civic Association, of the Rotary Club, of the First Presbyterian Church and other groups. He is survived by his widow, Zora, and a daughter Ruth Eleanor. The family recently began construction of a new home on the Alameda Circle. He also was past president and director of the Reed-Klopp Furniture Company and at the time of his death was a director of the Oglesby and Barnitz Bank. He was past secretary of the Middletown Hospital, past chairman of the tissue section of the American Pulp and Paper Association. He was a Mason and member of the Cincinnati Club.
