Mr. Hamilton was born at Windsor, Feb. 14, 1906, the son of Wallace and Etho Hamilton. He lived in that community until going to Flint Mich., where he lived for a number of years, coming to Sullivan in the summer of 1947, when he purchased the clothing business which has since carried his name. He married Vivian Henderson in 1930 and they observed their silver wedding anniversary three years ago.
Mr. Hamilton was active in the civic affairs of the city. He was a member of the Sullivan Chamber of Commerce and was a past president of that group. He was a member and past president of the Sullivan Kiwanis club where he was especially interested in the work of the Boy's and Girls' committees. At present he was president of the Moultrie County T.B. association and on the official board of the First Methodist Church.
Interment was in the Greenhill cemetery.
