Anne Andrews Bumper, age 90 and lifetime resident of Olney, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Olney with Rev. Gary Torian officiating assisted by Scotte Clark. Burial will follow in Restland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Anne was born November 24, 1921 in Archer County, Texas, to the late Robert Oliver and Marguerite (Purcell) Andrews. After high school Anne attended Texas Women's University in Denton. A social function at Texas A & M University brought she and L.P. "Lefty" Bumpers together. They were married on November 21, 1942 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She attended Draughn's Business College and worked at Sheppard Air Force Base. Anne had a twenty-five year career with World Book encyclopedia and was an area manager. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and cooking, and volunteering for Meals on Wheels. Anne was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church in Olney. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Robert "Bob" Andrews, and a daughter, Beverly Marguerite Schiff.

Survivors include three daughters: Barbara Lynn Purcell and husband Blaine of Wichita Falls, Texas, Rebecca Ann Bumpers of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Lucille "Michelle" Quant of Burleson, Texas; son William Morris and wife Petrie of Helotes, Texas; grandchildren: Matt Meade and wife Staci of Olney, Texas, Andrew Quant and wife Amy of Richardson, Texas, Angela Weinbrenner and husband Jared of Ft. Worth, Texas, Emily Buchanan and husband Preston of Tyler, Texas, Anna Allen and husband Andrew of Houston, Texas, and Will Whitsitt of Dallas, Texas; also seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
