Services for Marguerite Purcell Andrews, 71, were held at the First Methodist Church.
Marguerite Purcell married Robert Oliver Andrews on 24 November 1917. The couple made their home in southern Archer county in the Robert Donald Andrews ranch home which was built in the Shearer community in 1889. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Andrews moved to Archer City in 1947 to make her home. She was active in church and civic affairs. She was a charter member of the Amity Club organized in 1925. A member of the First Methodist Church at Archer City. Mrs. Andrews held life membership in the WSCS and taught the Fellowship class for many years. She was a member of City and Criterion Club in Wichita Falls.
Survived by one daughter - Mrs. Anne A Bumpers; two sons - Robert "Bob" O Andrews and Dr. Arch Andrews; one sister - MRs. W.W. Reeves; one brother - Graham Andrews.
