Zella May Appleton passed away Thursday morning, May 3, 2012 in Muskogee at the age of sixty-one years. She was born September 28, 1949 in Chouteau, Oklahoma to Berry and Betty (Davis) Culwell. She enjoyed fishing and camping and worked as a housekeeper for McCurtain Manor in Broken Bow. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Wallace and Bill Culwell and one sister, Carolyn Sue Vance. She is survived by her children, Verna Lea Vaughn and husband Mike of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Mary Ann Eiffert and husband David Vaughn of Roland, Oklahoma, Patty Moore of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Betty Mae Dean and husband Wesley of Roland, Oklahoma and Michael Grisham of Muldrow, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; one brother, Jimmy Granger and wife Kim of Wagoner, Oklahoma; four sisters, JoAnn Dean and husband Rick of Del City, Oklahoma, Essie Eiffert and husband Jerry of Okanogan, Washington, Brenda Welch of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Sharon Moore and husband Larry of Wagoner, Oklahoma; son-in-law, Thomas Moore of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Hersman-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner, OK.
