Mrs. Ella Cartwright, 88, of 272 N. Miami Ave., died at her home at 11 a.m. today.
A resident of the Xenia area for the last 40 years, she was born in Adams County March 19, 1877, the daughter of Henry and Melissa Hilderbrand Palmer. She was a member of Church of Christ in Christian union.
Survivors include three sons, Virgil of Xenia, Harley of Waverly and Robert Cartwright of Chicago, Ill; a daughter, Mrs. Edna Davis of Xenia; a brother Lafe of Rarden; a sister Mrs. Maggie Woods of Peebles and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her husband, Ira Branson Cartwright, preceded her in death.
