P. Morrison, Massena, dies

MASSENA - The funeral mass for Perry Morrison, 68, of Massena will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic church at Massena. Fr. James Wadsworth will officiate and burial will be in the Calvary cemetery at Massena.

Mr. Morrison died Tuesday at Omaha, Nebraska. He was a lifelong resident of Massena.

He was the son of John Martin and Margaret Martha Clinton Morrison, and was born October 21, 1906 in Cass county.

On February 18, 1936 he was married to Mary Coughlin at Massena. She survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Doug Morrison of Texas, Clif Morrison, Mike Morrison, and Chuck Morrison of Massena; five grandsons; two brothers, Jack Morrison of Corning and Bob Morrison of Wiota, and a sister, Grace Taylor of California.

He was preceded in death by a son, Denny Morrison, on January 15, 1958.

A rosary will be said at 8 p.m. tonight at the Massena funeral chapel.

Perry Morrison Last Rites Held

Funeral mass was held for Perry Morrison, 68, on Friday, January 17 at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Massena. Father James Wadsworth officiated. Mrs. Tom Casey, organist, accompanied the vocal soloist, Tom Casey.

Casket bearers were Joe Moore, Earl Clinton, Jim Amdor, Everett Lee, Robert Groves, and George Marnin. Honorary bearers were Donald Curry, Melvin Herrick, Harry DeVore, Ron Yarger, Tom Lewis, and Gene Amdor. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery at Massena.

Mr. Morrison, son of John Martin and Margaret Martha Clinton Morrison, was born Octobeer 21, 1906 and passed away Tuesday evening, January 14, at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. He was married to Mary Coughlin at Massena on February 8, 1936.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; four sons, Clif of Massena, Doug of Shalimar, Florida, Charles and Mike at home, also a sister, Mrs. Grace Taylor of California; two brothers, Jack of Corning and Robert of Cumberland; also several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and a son, Denny on January 15, 1958.

Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Thursday evening, January 16, at the Massena Funeral chapel.
