Said to have been the first white child born west of the Mississippi River. Married, James Estill

Wife of James Estill, daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth Hays Van Bibber. Elizabeth Hays, Matilda's mother, was the daughter of William Hays and Susannah Boone. Susannah Boone was the daughter of the famous Kentucky explorer, Daniel Boone. Her children were Horatio, Tantha, Fannie, Robert, Serreta, James, Benjamin, and Sarah.
