Lillian D. Crowe, 76, Finzel, died Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at her residence.
Born Dec. 2, 1929, in Finzel, she was a daughter of the late Edward G. Baker and Velma (Wagner) Baker. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Arnold and June Fissell; and one son, Wayne L. Crowe Sr.
She was a homemaker. She graduated from Grantsville High School in 1947. She was an active member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church all her life and a member of the United Methodist Women. She was active in the Northern Garrett Republican Women's Club, volunteered for the American Heart Association, and was a past member of the Eastern Garrett Ladies Auxiliary
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Harold L. Crowe; two sons, Donald E. Crowe, Kent Island, and Dennis L. Crowe Sr., Finzel; two daughters, Linda S. Messmer, Glen Burnie, and Delores Sullivan, North Carolina; three brothers, Carl Baker, Finzel, Edward A. Baker, Ohio, and Everett Baker, South Carolina; one sister, Janice Wilhelm, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, where a service was held on Saturday, March 4, with the Rev. Daniel Agnew officiating.
Interment was in the Emmanuel Methodist Cemetery.
