He was born on December 7, 1923 to the late Oscar and Elizabeth (Funk) Kessler.
Charles owned and operated Chuck's Mower and Saws. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bremen, Ohio. Charles served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda (Ray) Hieatt, Susan Kessler, Kathy (Whitey) Williams and Charla (Jim) Johnson; grandchildren, Audra Geiger, Mark Alan (Nancy) Geiger, Travis (Patti) Guseman, Gabriel Schorr and Brittney, Rhett Williams, Raleigh (Jade) Schorr, Charlie (Annie Ward) Williams, Ian Schorr, Cole (Amber) Rogers and Jamelle (Jesse Seesholtz) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Logan, Sofia, Ryleigh, Mona, Mora, Branden and Haley; numerous nieces and nephews.
In additition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by wife, Regina "Jean" Kessler; great-grandson, Elijah Rogers.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 2nd at St. Mary Church in Bremen, Ohio with Fr. Thomas Kessler as Celebrant.
Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Bremen where a military graveside service will be conducted by the Lancaster Ohio Veterans Detail. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 1st from 5-8 P.M. at the SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sheridan Funeral Home to help assist the family with expenses.
